Upon arrival in Stockholm, you will be welcomed by your Cox & Kings local representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours at leisure to relax and explore this captivating northern capital. Enjoy a full day at leisure. Marvel at the Royal Palace; explore the island of Djurgården and the fascinating Wasa Museum, which houses 17th-century Swedish warship; and stroll the cobblestone streets of Old Town. (B)
Fly to the town of Kiruna, situated high above the Arctic Circle. Upon arrival, a dogsled takes you through the stark landscape to the world-famous Ice Hotel. Spend an unforgettable night in a room built of snow and ice. Ice Hotel (Ice Room) – 1 night (B)
Board a snowmobile for a scenic journey to the Satosjohka Sami camp. Meet a native reindeer herder and learn about this traditional way of life. Try your hand at driving a reindeer sled through the forest. Share some food with the Sami people, and then visit an open-air cultural museum. Embark on snowmobiles in search of the Northern Lights. As you travel through the wintry landscape, expert guides relate myths and legends about the celestial phenomenon. Travel to the foot of magical Kebnekaise, to visit a traditional grazing land for moose. This afternoon, head to the airport for your flight back to Stockholm.
